My name is Cody DeWolfe and I go places and take pictures.
Okay - there’s a little more to the story. I bought my first camera the year I graduated college. I had just taken a full time job as a systems engineer with an aerospace company and, while I enjoyed what I did (and still do), I was looking for a hobby that can serve as a creative outlet. After a significant amount of research, I ended up pulling the trigger on an affordable DSLR camera kit.
Fast forward a couple of years and I’d taken my camera on a hand-full of outings, but I still didn’t really know what I was doing (I probably still don’t - never stop learning). COVID hit shortly after I picked up the hobby, which restricted my ability to exercise my photography skills and slowed down my progress significantly.
During COVID I had stumbled across a number of youtubers who made videos about solo travel. I decided to give it a shot - starting with short camping trips near my home in Colorado and, after it was safe to do so, diving head-first into solo travel in Iceland, where I spent two weeks traveling around the country via campervan. An argument can be had that this was really my first foray into what my little photography hobby would turn into.
Over the next few years, I started getting more serious about photography - watching hours worth of videos and starting to identify what styles of photography I’m into. As you can see by this portfolio, I’ve definitely gotten very comfortable in travel and landscape photography but would love to explore other types of photography as well.
I’m a serial hobby collector - my other hobbies include aviation, flight simulation, coffee, mixology, cooking, and reading.
